The World of Food Festival 2022 in Perth, Western Australia brought 35 cultures and foods together, with Greek dancing and food a highlight.

The food festival was organised by the Consular Corps of WA and was held at the gardens of WA Government House for the 11th year.

The Greek stall sold out fast with charcoal chicken and lamb open pita by the Souvla Boys – a mobile catering company specialising in Greek meats.

There was also a dedicated European Union stand, arranged by the EU Consular Group of WA. People were also given a free EU recipe book on the day to experiment with European tastes at home.

The Pontian Brotherhood of Saint George senior dance group also performed a range of Pontian dances.

“An excellent day. We really enjoyed seeing such joy within the crowd. The performances were wonderful,” one attendee said about the event on Facebook.
