Canberra Hellenic Dancers impress crowds at the annual Floriade festival

Floriade – Australia’s largest flower festival celebrating Spring – has returned to Commonwealth Park in Canberra, the ACT for its 35th year.

The annual festival runs until Sunday, October 16 with a massive program of music, entertainment, workshops, food, drinks, competitions and more.

This weekend, on Sunday, September 25, Floriade attendees were given a special treat with a dancing performance by the Canberra Hellenic Dancers.

Dancers of all ages from Kindergarten to the older Atalanti group proudly performed on the day dressed in traditional Greek costumes.

Elsewhere, people could also take part in a meet and greet with Greek Australian gardener and TV host of ABC’s Gardening Australia, Costa Georgiadis.

It was definitely a ‘Greek-filled’ day at the Floriade this year!
