Racing NSW chief executive and proud Kytherian, Peter V’landys, had lunch with Queen Elizabeth II at Windsor Castle on Wednesday.

Charles, the Prince of Wales, and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, were also in attendance at the lunch.

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, V’landys and his wife Philippa were invited to lunch by John Warren, who is the Queen’s racing manager.

“She’s an amazing lady and she certainly knows her racing,” V’landys told the newspaper after meeting the Queen. “It was an honour to be invited.”

After the lunch, V’landys and Philippa jumped in one of the carriages that formed the royal procession to Royal Ascot for day two of the Royal Racing Carnival.
