Television personality Michael Theo has been nominated for Best Lead Actor in a Comedy at the 2026 TV Week Logie Awards, for his role in the ABC series Austin.
Theo is among a strong field in the category, alongside Ben Miller (Austin), George Zhao (Ghosts Australia), Leon Ford (Dog Park), Matt Day (Strife) and Steve Bisley (Deadloch).
The nomination adds to Theo’s growing profile in Australian television following his breakout success on Love on the Spectrum, where he became widely recognised for his on-screen presence and advocacy for neurodiversity.
The Logies shortlist, announced for the 66th annual awards, features major competition across drama, comedy and reality television, with ABC productions among the most nominated broadcasters.
New categories this year include the Bruce McAvaney Award for Most Popular Sports Presenter.
The 2026 Logie Awards will be held on Sunday, August 16, at The Star in Sydney, with Robert Irwin hosting.
