Students from St Spyridon College have celebrated a strong showing at the St George Regional NSW Futsal Tournament, with the school’s Open Boys team crowned champions and the Open Girls team finishing runners-up.
The Open Boys side secured the regional title after an outstanding campaign throughout the tournament, earning qualification for the NSW State Football Championships to be held in August.
The achievement marks a significant milestone for the College, with the team now preparing to compete against some of the top school futsal sides from across the state.
Meanwhile, the College’s Open Girls team also impressed, progressing all the way to the final before finishing as runners-up after a hard-fought contest.
The College congratulated both teams on their performances, praising the students for their dedication, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the competition.
