Ties strengthened at diplomatic reception in Perth attended by Greek Consul

Greek Consul General in Perth, Eleni Georgopoulou attended the inaugural Consul Generals’ Reception hosted by the City of Canning this month, joining diplomatic, government and business leaders in a show of growing international engagement in Western Australia.

Held in Perth, the reception brought together the city’s Consuls General, elected councillors and executive leadership, along with key industry representatives, with the aim of strengthening diplomatic and economic ties.

The event highlighted the City of Canning’s diverse multicultural community and its expanding economic vision, with discussions centred on fostering meaningful partnerships between local government, the diplomatic corps and the business sector.

Consul General Georgopoulou welcomed the opportunity to engage with government, diplomatic and industry colleagues, noting the importance of international collaboration in supporting economic development and deepening bilateral relationships.

The reception also provided insight into the City’s economic strengths and the diverse industries that underpin its growth, reinforcing Perth’s role as a dynamic hub for global engagement.
