Greek Australian educator wins top honour at 2025 Australian Fitness Industry Awards

·

Greek Australian business owner Jono Petrohilos has been named Educator of the Year at the 2025 Australian Fitness Industry Awards, hosted by AUSactive.

The award recognises an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the education and development of fitness professionals in Australia, acknowledging excellence in teaching, leadership, and industry impact.

“I’m truly honoured to receive this award,” Mr Petrohilos said. “Education is at the heart of what we do. My mission has always been to empower personal trainers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed — and to see that recognised on a national stage is very humbling.”

The awards ceremony took place at Sydney Town Hall, bringing together fitness leaders, educators, and innovators from across the country.

Mr Petrohilos, co-founder of Fitness Education Online, has built one of the largest providers of online education for personal trainers, offering more than 50 CEC/CPD courses recognised nationally and internationally. His programs have trained thousands of fitness professionals and helped raise the standard of education across the industry.

This latest honour adds to a growing list of achievements for Fitness Education Online, which previously won CEC Provider of the Year in 2024 and has had multiple students nominated as finalists for Student of the Year.
