Greek and Serbian communities unite for 31st Annual Friendship Day in Rooty Hill

The Serbian Orthodox Church–Parish and School Community of St Archdeacon Stephen in Rooty Hill, Sydney will host the 31st Annual Greek-Serbian Orthodox & Cultural Friendship Day on Sunday, 14 September 2025.

The long-running celebration is a highlight for both the Serbian and Greek communities of Sydney and New South Wales, bringing together families and friends to honour their shared cultural, religious and historical bonds.

The day will begin with a Divine Liturgy at 9.30am, followed by an afternoon of food, music and dance at the parish hall, located at 671 Hyatts Road (corner of Woodstock Avenue), Rooty Hill.

From 12.00pm, a variety of hot foods and cold drinks will be available for purchase. From 12.30pm until 5.00pm, audiences will enjoy a rich program of live music and dance, featuring Serbian and Greek dance groups. Organisers are also promising additional surprises on the day.

The annual Friendship Day has become a symbol of unity and celebration of the deep ties between Greeks and Serbs, both in Australia and abroad.

Entry is $15 per person.
