Tambassis family’s Mortdale dental clinic wins ‘Outstanding New Business’ at local awards

·

Mortdale-based dental clinic Smile Sanctuary has been named ‘Outstanding New Business’ at this year’s Georges River Local Business Awards, just months after opening its doors in January.

Founded by Dr Kyriakos Tambassis and his wife Deanna, Smile Sanctuary combines contemporary dental practices with family-friendly care, offering patients a relaxing and comforting environment to achieve their smile goals.

The clinic serves the Georges River community and wider Sydney, providing everything from toddlers’ first dental visits to smile makeovers and emergency dental care.

On Facebook, Smile Sanctuary said the award was a proud moment for the entire team.

“We are grateful and honoured to be named ‘Outstanding New Business.’ A huge thank you to our incredible team, our beautiful patients, and our amazing community for trusting us with your smiles,” the post read.

“Your support means the world to us, and we’re so grateful to be part of the community.”

Smile Sanctuary is open seven days a week, including late nights, and accepts all health funds as well as the Medicare Child Dental Benefit Scheme.

With over a decade of experience in both the private and public dental sectors, Dr Tambassis brings a wealth of expertise and a passion for patient care to the practice. He holds multiple qualifications, including a Post-Graduate Diploma in Aesthetic Orthodontics, and has been recognised with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons Academic Prize.

The Local Business Award adds to Smile Sanctuary’s growing reputation as a trusted, innovative, and community-focused clinic.
