Former Greek PM Antonis Samaras’ daughter dies suddenly aged 34

Lena Samaras, the daughter of former Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, has died suddenly at the age of 34 after suffering a cardiac arrest.

According to reports, she experienced a sudden epileptic episode and was taken to Sismanoglio Hospital before being transferred to Evangelismos Hospital due to the severity of her condition.

Despite doctors’ efforts, she passed away. Initial reports indicate that the seizure was followed by a cardiac arrest.

A 2008 graduate of Athens College, Lena studied civil engineering in London, following in the professional footsteps of her mother.

She was named after her grandmother, Eleni (Lena) Zanna, and was the great-great-granddaughter of celebrated Greek author Penelope Delta, making her part of a distinguished Greek family.
