Following the phenomenal success of its highly anticipated return last year, which saw over 30,000 enthusiastic attendees, the Greek Orthodox Community of NSW (GOCNSW) has today announced the return of the Greek Fest @ Brighton-Le-Sands for a second consecutive year.
On Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 11am to 11pm, Bay Street will once again be transformed into a vibrant celebration of Hellenic culture, bursting with Greek colours, captivating live music, exhilarating dance, and the irresistible aromas of authentic Greek cuisine.
Last year’s return marked a triumphant moment after a 21-year hiatus, and the overwhelming community response has paved the way for this exciting encore.
This year, the Greek Fest @ Brighton-Le-Sands returns independently under the auspices of the GOCNSW, promising an even grander celebration by the seaside.
Expect to be mesmerised by dynamic performances from Greek and Cypriot dance schools across Sydney, showcasing their incredible talent and passion. The festival promises to deliver great surprises, engaging competitions, and interactive activities for our younger attendees, alongside a diverse array of stalls offering delectable Greek food and a wide selection of authentic Greek products and services.
This unparalleled atmosphere will undoubtedly revive and celebrate the vibrant Greek presence within the Bayside Council events.
The continued success and revival of the Greek Festival at Bayside Council are passionately supported by the newly elected Mayor Ed McDougall who has stated, “I’m excited to see the Greek Festival returning to Bayside in 2025. This festival is a great celebration of Greek culture and our vibrant, diverse multicultural community.”
Harry Danalis, President of the GOCNSW, said, “The resounding success of last year’s festival, drawing over 30,000 people back to Brighton-Le-Sands, was a testament to the community’s desire to embrace and celebrate Greek culture.”
“We are immensely grateful for the continued and undivided support of the Honourable Steve Kamper, State Minister for Lands and Property, Minister for Multiculturalism, Minister for Sport, and Minister for Jobs and Tourism and Member for Rockdale, without whom this incredible festival would not be possible for a second year running,” Mr Danalis added.
Nia Karteris, Secretary of the GOCNSW and Chair of the Greek Festival of Sydney, said, “The opportunity to return to Bay Street after last year’s incredible turnout is truly special.”
