Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis expressed his shock over the mass deadly attack at an adult education school in Örebro, Sweden, on Tuesday, February 4.

In a social media post, Mitsotakis stated, “Shocked by the tragedy in Örebro. Schools should be places of learning and safety, never violence. Greece stands in solidarity with Sweden in this painful moment. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and the community affected by this heinous act.”

Greece’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also issued a statement of condolences, saying, “Shocked and appalled by today’s attack at a school in Örebro. Our thoughts go out to the victims and their families. We stand with the people of Sweden during this difficult time.”

The shooting left 10 dead, with authorities suspecting one of the victims may be the perpetrator.

Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson described the incident as “the worst mass shooting in Swedish history.”
