Kostas Antetokounmpo ruled out of 2024 Paris Olympics

Kostas Antetokounmpo has been ruled out of the Paris Olympic Games.

The Greece national team will compete in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games without Kostas Antetokounmpo after he suffered a knee injury.

This comes after Kostas, the brother of Giannis Antetokounmpo, underwent extra tests by the national team and Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens staff, which showed that he won’t recover from his injury in time for the Olympic Games.

The 26-year-old averaged 9 minutes, 3.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.0 EFF per game in two Olympic Qualifying tournament appearances for Greece this summer.

Kostas is expected to be replaced on the Greek national team by either Nikos Chougkaz or Michalis Lountzis.

In the 2024 Paris Olympic basketball tournament, Greece will play an opening game on July 27 against Canada.
