Historic gold for Greece at European Aquatic Championships

Greece has won its first gold medal in the team free artistic swimming competition at the European Aquatic Championships in Belgrade.

The national team triumphed in the team free final with a score of 270.1980, finishing 15.5 points ahead of Italy (254.7354). The UK and Turkey were the other competitors in the event.

Before these championships in Belgrade, Greece had earned five silver and six bronze medals in the sport.

The Greek team made one change from the qualifier, with Artemi Koutraki replacing Ifigenia Krommydakis. The team also included Maria Alzigouzi-Kominea, Thalia Dambali, Athena Kamarinopoulou, Zoi Karangelou, Maria Karapanagiotou, Sofia Rigakou, and Vasiliki Thanou.
