Greek-owned fish and chip shop named the best in South Australia

Dino and Amanda Papadopoulos’ The Stunned Mullet in Henley Beach, South Australia, have been crowned the best fish and chips shop in the state.

The Stunned Mullet is one of the top food offerings in South Australia’s delicious 100 list, welcoming every customer with a broad range of local and sustainable seafood while ensuring that the tradition of fish and chips remains a beloved element of the Aussie summer.

Co-owner Dino grew up on the southeast coast in Port McDonnell, where his mother ran the neighbourhood fish and chip store and his father was a cray fisherman, cultivating Dino’s skills and passion for the industry.

For over 15 years, since its establishment in March 2005, The Stunned Mullet’s legacy has been steeped in seafood.

The love that goes into every dish at the popular Henley Beach restaurant is a true reflection of its history.

According to Glam Adelaide, the family-owned and operated fish and chip shop has proudly won South Australia’s Best Fish and Chips at the Seafood Industry Awards each time it has been presented since 2007, including a string of wins at the 2017, 2018, and 2019 Australian Fish and Chips Awards.
