Murder victim Kevin Kourtis to be laid to rest in Cyprus

The family of murder victim, Kevin Kourtis, have set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for the return of his body to “his home and rightful place” in Cyprus.

In a statement on the page, Kevin’s cousin Jodie Kourtis wrote: “The Kourtis family want to return Kevin to his home and his rightful place in Cyprus. The GoFundMe page is for friends and family which can’t attend the funeral.”

According to Jodie, Kevin moved to Australia “eight years ago for a better life and started his own concreting business, Kourtisy Concreting.”

“Kevin was hard working and he was kind-hearted. He would give you his last dollar if you needed it. He didn’t deserve such a tragic ending to his life.”

Kevin was allegedly stabbed to death inside his Riverstone home just after midnight on May 24.

Two teenagers have been charged with the murder of the 39-year-old and they were refused bail after facing children’s court on Monday.
