Olympiacos crowned Greek soccer champions for a record 47th time

·

Olympiacos retained its Greek soccer crown on Wednesday, winning yet another Super League title against rivals PAOK at the Thessaloniki Toumba Stadium.

The team from Piraeus came back from a 1-0 deficit to score twice in the second half and celebrate its 47th League title.

PAOK led early on through a Thomas Murg goal from close range, but the two goals in the second half by Rony Lopes and Oleg Reabciuk gave the Reds their 2-1 win.

Olympiacos now have an unassailable lead of 16 points with four games left in the play-offs.

In more good news in basketball, Olympiacos also came from behind to beat Monaco in Piraeus on Wednesday and snatch the last ticket to the Euroleague Final Four.
