Linda Spiteri honoured with Football Victoria Life Membership

·

Gippsland football figure Linda Spiteri has been formally recognised among 44 new Life Members announced by Football Victoria, acknowledging decades of service across regional associations.

Football Victoria confirmed the honours for Life Members from the former Ballarat, Bendigo, Gippsland and Latrobe Valley associations as part of its regional transition process, which has brought much of regional Victoria’s football administration under its oversight.

The announcement continues earlier recognition of members from Bendigo, Geelong, Sunraysia and the former Goulburn North-East Association, who were honoured in 2016.

Football Victoria’s Manager – Regional Development Lauren Stevens said the recognition marked a significant milestone.

“This marks an important step in the Regional Transition, ensuring the invaluable contributions these individuals have made across Victoria are recognised and celebrated,” she said.

“Collectively, they bring more than a millennium of experience and service to football in Victoria, and we pay tribute to the lasting impact each person has made on the game and their communities.”

Spiteri is listed among the Gippsland Soccer League recipients alongside administrators and volunteers including Philip Miller, Andrea Dempsey and Daniel Brown.
