The Women of the Greek Community have raised more than $15,000 for the Cancer Council WA through an annual Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea event held at the Alexander the Great Club.
The event brought together more than 250 members of the Greek community in a show of generosity and solidarity, with funds supporting cancer research and support services across Western Australia.
Held in the presence of His Grace Bishop Elpidios of Perth and Greece’s Consul in Perth, Eleni Georgopoulou, the gathering was recognised for its contribution to the wider community.

On behalf of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, Bishop Elpidios expressed his gratitude to the organising committee and everyone who helped make the event a success.
This year’s morning tea raised $15,524, bringing the total amount raised through the initiative over the past 21 years to $224,458.
The Greek Orthodox Diocese of Perth congratulated the Women of the Greek Community for their continued commitment to the cause and their ongoing support in the fight against cancer.
