Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis spoke by phone on Thursday with Israeli President Isaac Herzog.

During the conversation, Mitsotakis reiterated his call for the release of Israeli hostages – a point he also raised recently with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The Greek PM expressed deep concern over the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, stressing the urgent need for a ceasefire and the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid.

The two leaders also exchanged views on the latest developments in the region.
