Greek Orthodox Community of Melbourne and Victoria announces date for 2025 Board Elections

·

The Electoral Committee of the Greek Orthodox Community of Melbourne and Victoria (GOCMV) has officially announced that elections for the organisation’s new Board of Directors will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2025.

The elections will take place at Alphington Grammar School, located in Melbourne’s inner-north, with polling stations open from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm.

The announcement follows the Community’s Annual General Meeting, which was held, Sunday, June 15, and marks an important step in the democratic renewal of one of Australia’s most historic and influential Greek organisations.

This year’s election comes at a time of growing engagement within Victoria’s Greek Australian community, particularly as it relates to cultural preservation, youth involvement, and strategic development in an increasingly multicultural environment.
