Greece repatriates over 100 people from Israel via Egypt in coordinated operation

Greece has successfully repatriated 105 people from Israel through Egypt in a coordinated operation led by the Greek Foreign Ministry, with support from its embassies in Tel Aviv and Cairo and its consulate in Jerusalem.

The evacuees, including Greeks, Cypriots, and nationals from other countries, were flown to Athens from Sharm El Sheikh on C-130 and C-27 aircraft provided by the Hellenic Air Force.

According to an official statement, Greece also assisted citizens from several European and third countries, including the USA, Austria, Germany, France, Italy, and others.

The Foreign Ministry stated it remains ready to offer further assistance in cooperation with its diplomatic and consular services in the region.
