Two of Greece’s top bars have earned their spot on the list for the finest bars in the world.

The list for 2023 recognises bars from thirty-four cities worldwide, with Europe retaining its dominance with the highest number of entries.

In Greece, both bars can be found in Athens, with the first being The Bar in Front of the Bar founded by cocktail experts Alexandros Tselepis, Konstandinos Theodorakopoulos and Simeon Papanikolaou.

According to visitors, the eccentric bar offers daily rotating selections of drinks whilst prioritizing a zero-waste approach.

The second location, ranked at 70 is Barro Negro, which is recognised as Athens’s inaugural tequilaria.

According to the list, the bar boasts an extensive selection of tequilas which results in crafting a beautiful variety of margaritas to drink and enjoy with company.
