Greek basketball sensation Giannis Antetokounmpo officially married his longtime partner and the mother of his three children, Mariah Riddlesprigger in a private ceremony held in Greece this Sunday, September 1.

The wedding took place at the luxurious Costa Navarino resort, located near Pylos in the Peloponnese. The festivities kicked off with a white-themed party on Friday, followed by a vibrant Nigerian-inspired event the following day.

According to Skai TV, the ceremony was a unique blend of Orthodox and Catholic traditions, with Khris Middleton, Antetokounmpo’s close friend and Milwaukee Bucks teammate, serving as his best man.

The guest list was star-studded, including NBA legend LeBron James and Greece’s national team coach Vassilis Spanoulis. Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and his family were also reportedly in attendance, among approximately 200 guests.

Known globally as the “Greek Freak,” Antetokounmpo has become one of Greece’s most prominent ambassadors. His journey from a humble, poverty-stricken childhood to the heights of NBA stardom is an inspiring tale shared by many migrant families in Greece.

The couple was adamant on ensuring that the wedding was kept out of the public eye, allegedly using confidentiality agreements with those involved in the event.
