SA chef George Diakomichalis brings cooking series to Australian TV screens

·

South Australian pastry chef, George Diakomichalis, is set to bring his cooking series ‘It’s All Greek to Me’ to Australian television screens this year.

Diakomichalis announced the news on Facebook and said the series will premiere for SA viewers on Channel 9 this Sunday, December 10 at 4pm. All viewers outside of SA can watch the series on Tuesday, December 13 at 1.15pm.

The chef said the TV launch wouldn’t be possible without the support of his fans.

“Your unwavering support for this series now means we can meet new families, learn about new cultures and tell new stories with a new audience – how amazing!” Diakomichalis wrote on Facebook.

The first episode will feature Diakomichalis’ lifelong friend Niko and his mum Georgia Mavragelos.

“You will be amused; you will laugh, and you may cry. You’re going to learn a couple of mouth-watering recipes that you need to make at home!” the chef teased about the episode.

Diakomichalis first started the ‘It’s All Greek to Me’ series on YouTube and spends his time sharing Greek recipes. He is also the owner and executive pastry chef of the multi-award winning patisserie Kalymnos Pastries in Adelaide.
