SA Governor inspires students during visit to St George College

·

St George College was honoured to welcome Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia, accompanied by Rod Bunten, for an inspiring visit to the school.

Her Excellency met with members of the student leadership team, sharing valuable insights into future career pathways across South Australian industries. She encouraged students to pursue careers they can both enjoy and thrive in, leaving them motivated and reflective about their futures.

The Governor was particularly impressed by the talents of the St George Culinary Institute students, who prepared a beautifully presented morning tea for her and Mr Bunten.

St George College said it was proud to be one of only three schools where students prepared the food themselves – a remarkable achievement that highlights their skill and dedication.

Discussions also touched on the importance of volunteering, giving back to the community, and developing entrepreneurial mindsets, inspiring students to understand how their contributions today can shape a better tomorrow.

St George College extended its sincere thanks to Her Excellency and Mr Bunten for their visit and the encouragement and inspiration they provided to the students.
