Laconian community gather for a night of glenti in Sydney

The Pan-Laconian Association NSW “The Spartans” held their Annual Dinner Dance on Saturday, November 25 at The Grand Roxy in Brighton-Le-Sands, Sydney.

In attendance were over 200 people, including a number of officials such as the President of the Pan-Laconian Association NSW “The Spartans” Mary Skalkos.

Emcee Peter Kokinakos guided everyone through the official proceedings, which included a speech by Ms Skalkos and the presentation of an award to Theodoros Bilia.

In her speech, Ms Skalkos thanked everyone for attending and expressed her gratitude to Mr Bilia for being the longest serving member of the Pan-Laconian Association NSW for over 25 years.

“When the seeds of our Association were just beginning to grow, you were there from the beginning helping to lay the foundations for what we would become today,” Ms Skalkos said.

“What really sets Theo apart is not only the longevity of his service for 25 years, but the wisdom and experience he brings to the table.”

After this presentation, Santa Claus arrived at the event to deliver presents to the children in attendance. The night ended with plenty of dancing and mingling among guests.
