Dimitris Basis has arrived in Sydney ahead of a series of performances, organisers have announced.

“Welcome to Sydney, Dimitris Basis!” the event organisers said on socials media, adding: “The voice we’ve been waiting for has officially touched down under and we couldn’t be more excited to have him here.”

The tour will begin with two intimate concerts at Newtown High School of the Performing Arts on April 29 and 30, before building toward the historic 100 Years Mimis Plessas Celebration on May 8.

Organisers described the upcoming event as “a landmark night for Greek music that you absolutely cannot miss,” adding that “the tour countdown is officially ON.”
