Emily Bobis wins in the Commonwealth Bank Young Hero Awards

·

27-year-old entrepreneur, Emily Bobis, has won ‘Startup of the Year’ for her Road Intelligence software company at the Commonwealth Bank Young Hero Awards.

The awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of business leaders and entrepreneurs 35 years old and younger.

Bobis founded IoT Compass in 2018. The business uses real-time data analysis of cars swerving or breaking to detect trends and patterns. This halved the number of car crashes on one of Sydney’s busiest roads.

The young entrepreneur said she is “incredibly proud” to be recognised for this work through the award.

“Winning the Startup of the Year award is a fantastic recognition of all the brutally hard work the team has put in and the challenges they’ve overcome,” Bobis said.

“I’m incredibly proud to be representing them, other young female entrepreneurs, and Smart City innovation.”
