The Bank of Sydney Semaphore Greek Festival is returning to South Australia

·

After a two-year hiatus, preparations have started for the Bank of Sydney 42nd Semaphore Greek Festival that will take place at Semaphore Beach, South Australia, on the weekend of 14 – 15 January 2023.

The Port Adelaide Greek Orthodox Community and their team of over 300 volunteers have been working non-stop to deliver SA’s most popular multicultural festival.

Under the auspices of the Government of South Australia and City of Port Adelaide Enfield, matched with a new partnership with the Bank of Sydney and event partner Just Gold, the volunteer driven event will showcase and celebrate Greek culture and heritage within SA’s broader multicultural context.

This year, the festival’s campaign title is “happy, again” and visitors can expect to enjoy traditional souvlaki, loukoumathes and Greek coffee.

The Festival program will also feature interactive competitions, live music by local artists and Greek traditional dance groups from all over SA. The Port Adelaide Greek Dance Academy will even take centre stage with distinct performances.

The event will be covered live on the official social media pages, allowing audiences from around the country and the world to enjoy the atmosphere and connect with the Festival volunteers throughout the weekend.
