Elfa Moraitakis named finalist for Western Sydney Women Awards 2025

·

Elfa Moraitakis, CEO of SydWest Multicultural Services, has been named as a finalist in this year’s Western Sydney Women Awards.

Created by founder of Western Sydney Women, Amanda Rose, to spotlight the talented women of the West, the Awards have a broad scope in recognising the achievements of women at all stages in their life, business and career.

From the Inner West, Greater West, North West and South West of Sydney, the awards are designed to be accessible to all women as the only program that is free to enter and free to attend.

Dedicated to celebrating the amazing women of Western Sydney, the awards have a track record of shining a light on the region’s brightest up-and-coming stars.

Ms Moraitakis said she was thrilled to be nominated as a finalist in the Western Sydney’s Woman in Leadership category, which celebrates women who demonstrate exceptional leadership, driving results and influence in business, sport, politics, or the community.

“I was deeply honoured to be announced as a finalist. The award holds significant meaning, as it highlights the impact of our community work and the commitment to excellence that drives us forward. I am proud of what we have achieved at SydWest and grateful for the opportunity to be acknowledged among such esteemed peers,” she said.

“I’m truly inspired by the exceptional women in my category – their achievements and leadership set a powerful example of what we all aim to accomplish day in day out. I look forward to celebrating their success at the Western Sydney Women Awards and connecting with others who share a passion for excellence.”

Ms Rose has been highly impressed by the calibre of the candidates and moved by the community’s enthusiasm for the WSW awards.

“The passion and drive of Western Sydney women never ceases to amaze me,” she said.

“The recognition they’re receiving is wholly deserved, and I’m filled with gratitude towards our sponsors who share this sentiment and have made it possible to celebrate their accomplishments.

“Every year the bar is set higher with our awe-inspiring nominees. From the very beginning we’ve been honoured to showcase the remarkable talent that exists in our region. This year’s list of finalists carries on that proud tradition.”

Finalists will be celebrated at Western Sydney Women’s Future of Women in Western Sydney Summit on 4th September 2025 at the Hudson Hotel & Events Centre. The summit will be attended by key stakeholders across community, government and business, including Western Sydney Women alumni.
