Vlass Vlassopoulos’ SA ugg boot store closes after 50 years

·

Uggs2U owner, Vlass Vlassopoulos has decided to close up shop and retire after opening the beloved family-owned ugg boot store in Seaton, South Australia over 50 years ago.

According to The Advertiser, with the lease ending next month, Vlassopoulos says the time has come to finish this chapter of his life.

“The lease hasn’t been renewed and if we were 10 years younger, we might have pursued that but we also don’t want to put one foot in the grave either,” Vlassopoulos said.

Vlassopoulos and his family took over the business from the previous owners 10 years ago, and over the weekend, the store was packed with loyal customers keen to buy a pair of uggs and say their goodbyes.

Over the past few days, Vlassopoulos and his family expressed their gratitude to the community for their support over the years.

“Some of our customers have been coming here years. “We’ve had three or four generations that have come past and the support has been unbelievable,” Vlassopoulos added.
