Gang rapist’s ex Alexandra Mastropetros faces intimidation and drug sentence

·

Alexandra Mastropetros is facing sentencing for stalking and intimidating her former lover – Australia’s worst gang rapist Mohammed Skaf – and smuggling $100,000 worth of drugs into a prison.

Skaf was the ringleader of a spate of notorious gang rapes in Sydney’s southwest in 2000, and was jailed alongside his brother Bilal and several others.

When he was freed after almost 22 years behind bars, Skaf and Mastropetros started dating in January this year for a few months.

According to The Australian, court documents showed Mastropetros admitted to threatening Skaf in Greenacre in May during a heated phone call to “highly suggest” he withdraw a statement he made to the police “in relation to being extorted for $20,000.”

Court documents showed Skaf “feared for his life,” believing that Mastropetros was going to send someone to his house to cause serious harm to him or his family.

Mastropetros also admitted to an unrelated charge of distributing an illegal narcotic after being found with 4.86g of methamphetamine worth around $100,000.

Mastropetros was due to be sentenced on Thursday but the Bankstown local court was told that she had appointed a new lawyer who needed to become familiar with the case.

The matter has been adjourned for sentencing to take place in January 2024.
