Symian Association of NSW holds anniversary ball to celebrate 80 years

Almost 300 people attended the 80th Anniversary Ball of the Symian Association Taxiarhis of New South Wales on Saturday, November 11.

Symians of all generations and ages came together on the night to celebrate the special milestone at The Grand Roxy in Brighton-Le-Sands, Sydney.

On the night, the Consul General of Greece in Sydney, Yannis Mallikourtis, and Georges River Councillor (and fellow Symian) Nick Katris commenced the formalities.

There were also lifetime awards presentations and a live band performance to follow from IHO NYX band with singer, Tina. The Symian dancing group also gave engaging and unforgettable performances.

In a post on Facebook, the President of the Symian Association of NSW, Minna Zouroudis, thanked everyone for taking part in the celebrations.

“Thank you to all the past members and committees who, only with their dedication and hard work throughout the years, have given us the opportunity to continue to teach, never forget and be proud of our Symian and Hellenic heritage for many generations come,” Mr Zouroudis said.
