Countdown is on for the 2023 Greek Film Festival’s opening night

The wait is almost over! The highly anticipated 2023 Greek Film Festival is just two days away from its grand opening night, promising a spectacular celebration of Greek cinema, and artistry.

With a diverse range of films that explore culture and contemporary themes, this year’s festival is set to be a cinematic journey like no other.

The festival will open with Asimina Proedrou’s multi-award-winning, Oscar nominated feature, Behind the Haystacks, a heartfelt depiction of a Greek family navigating the 2015 refugee crisis.

The Astor Theatre, Palace Cinema Como and Palace Balwyn Cinema will open their doors on October 19 to all cinema enthusiasts, where they will enjoy an evening of special surprises and delicious treats for everyone. Be a part of the magic!
