Greek Australian Year 12 student makes history at Melbourne Grammar

A Greek Australian Year 12 student has made history at Melbourne Grammar School during his muck up day celebrations.

Alexander Kalliakoudis, alongside his friend Roy Gregory, climbed the main building of the school and raised the Greek flag for the first time in 165 years of the school’s existence.

Alexander and Roy decided to raise the Greek flag as part of their muck-up day celebrations prior to their upcoming final exams for the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE).

Melbourne Grammar is an Anglican school founded on April 7, 1858, by the first Bishop of Melbourne, Charles Perry. It is one of Australia’s leading independent schools.
