Sydney Olympic FC’s Australia Cup journey continues after they defeated their traditional rivals Marconi Stallions FC on Wednesday night 2-1.

Sydney Olympic was superior for most of the match, but found themselves behind on the scoreboard in the 53rd minute when Marconi scored to make it 1-0.

From there, Labinot Haliti‘s squad went on the counter-attack and in the 67th minute they equalised at 1-1 with a goal by Oliver Puflett.

At the end of the match, in the 90th minute, Adam Parkhouse scored the final and winning goal.

This victory comes as Canberra Olympic also defeated West Canberra Wanderer 3-0 in their Australia Cup match, and the Cypriot club, Bentleigh Greens, in Victoria defeated Westgate FC.
