St George Basketball launches 2026 season at vibrant Jersey Presentation Day

·

On Sunday, February 8, St George Basketball proudly hosted its annual Jersey Presentation Day, officially launching the 2026 Representative season.

The day marked an important milestone for the association, as all St George 2026 Representative teams were formally presented with their new playing kits in preparation for what promises to be another exciting and competitive year.

From the youngest representatives in the U12 Girls and Boys teams, right through to Youth League Women and Senior Men, it was fantastic to see every player proudly wearing the St George jersey.

Jersey Presentation Day represents more than just receiving a uniform — it symbolises commitment, pride, teamwork and the beginning of a new journey together. The atmosphere throughout the venue reflected the strength, unity and culture the Association continues to build both on and off the court.

The day was filled with great activities and strong community spirit, including the Association’s ever-popular BBQ, a fantastic cake stall, and raffle prizes proudly supplied by Iathletic. The support shown by families, friends and volunteers once again highlighted why St George Basketball is such a special association to be part of.

Following a record-breaking 2025 season — achieving outstanding results on the court and continued growth off the court — the Association is excited to build on that momentum and strive for another historic year in 2026.

St George Basketball is one of the most multicultural Associations in New South Wales if not the most. It’s very proud of the Greek Heritage players, coaches, and sponsors providing a pathway to representative basketball.
