Cyprus wins three medals at gymnastics World Challenge Cup 2023 in Hungary

Cyprus has won one gold and two silver medals in men’s gymnastics at the Szombathely Challenge Cup 2023 in Hungary.

Ilias Georgiou won a gold medal for high bar, Marios Georgiou came in second winning a silver medal in the same category and Sokratis Pilakouris also won a silver medal in rings.

This was the last major gymnastics event for this year before the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships 2023 to be held in Antwerp, Belgium from September 30 to October 8, 2023.

The championships is a qualification event for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
