Greek dessert chain Lukoumades shuts down final shop in SA’s Hyde Park

·

The beloved chain of Greek dessert bars, Lukoumades, officially closed its last physical location on King William Road in South Australia’s Hyde Park.

This decision marks the end of an era for the shop, which first opened its doors seven years ago and became a local favourite for its delicious Greek doughnuts.

In a heartfelt social media post, the owners expressed gratitude to their customers for their unwavering support since the establishment of their first dessert bar in 2017.

“It’s been a great seven years filled with highs and lows,” the post read.

“However, we have made a difficult decision and have decided that our time has come to an end at Hyde Park.”

The post went on to say that the Lukoumades dessert truck would continue to be operating at “as many events as possible, bringing you all our famous Greek sweets.”
