Dennis Bastas buys Victoria’s most expensive home in landmark deal

Melbourne healthcare billionaire Dennis Bastas and his wife Georgina have emerged as the buyers of Toorak estate Coonac in what’s set to become Victoria’s first residential sale to exceed $100 million.

According to The Australian Financial Review, the 58-year-old DBG Health CEO adds the historic 1.08-hectare property to a growing portfolio that includes homes in Toorak, South Yarra and Portsea.

The grand 20-room mansion was sold by Paul Little and Jane Hansen, with the final price undisclosed until settlement.

According to AFR, buyer’s advocate David Morrell referred to the rare sale as a changing of the guard among Melbourne’s elite homes.
