Australia’s Prime Minister sends message to mark Battle of Crete anniversary

Prime Minister of Australia, Anthony Albanese, has issued a message to mark the 82nd anniversary of the Battle of Crete, honouring the memory of those who fought and died in May 1941.

In his message, Albanese highlights the friendship forged between the Greek soldiers who fought alongside Australians on the Greek island of Crete against the Nazis during World War II.
