Victorian Council for Greek National Day appoints new Executive Committee

The Victorian Council for Greek National Day has announced the appointment of its new Executive Committee, following the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Monday, May 4, at Axion Estin Monastery in Northcote, Victoria.

The Council consists of Victoria’s Hellenic communities, schools and organisations, with its primary objective being the coordination and delivery of commemorative events marking Greece’s Independence Day on March 25 each year.

The newly elected Executive Committee is as follows:

  • Chair: Sophia Siachos
  • Secretary: Peter Stefanidis
  • Assistant Secretary: Stella Moschos
  • Treasurer: Arthur Andronas
  • Public Relations Officers: Melina Stamoulis and Manolis Starakis
  • Parade Marshal: Jim Grivokostopoulos

The incoming Committee expressed its sincere appreciation for the continued trust and support of the community and enthusiasm to serve with dedication in the year ahead.
