Food, friends and Kytherian spirit on the menu for Canberra luncheon

·

The Kytherian Association of Canberra is set to launch its 2026 calendar of events with the return of its popular annual luncheon, Another Day in Kythera, bringing together members, families and friends for an afternoon of delicious food and community spirit.

The event will be held on Sunday, June 14 from 12.30pm at the newly renovated Bistro at the Hellenic Club Woden, marking the first time the much-loved gathering will take place in the refreshed venue.

A longstanding tradition for Canberra’s Kytherian community, Another Day in Kythera offers attendees the chance to reconnect, share stories and celebrate their heritage in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

Guests can look forward to a feast of shared plates featuring favourites including souvlaki, calamari and octopus, providing a taste of the island’s rich culinary traditions while enjoying the company of fellow Kytherians and supporters of the community.

Organisers are encouraging both long-time members and newcomers to attend, with the event designed to bring people together and strengthen community ties.

Tickets are priced at $55 for adults and $25 for children.
