Former US President Barack Obama to visit Greece in June

Former President of the United States, Barack Obama, will visit Athens, Greece in June, according to Ekathimerini.

His visit to Athens comes as part of the Obama Foundation Leaders program. Obama will meet with 105 emerging changemakers from Africa, Asia-Pacific and Europe participating in the program in Athens.

During his stay, Obama will also participate in the SNF Nostos Conference from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) from June 21-23.

The former US President will discuss ways to enhance the democratic culture and the importance of supporting the next generation of leaders with the President of SNF Andreas Drakopoulos.

This year, the SNF Nostos Conference will focus on mental health, the loneliness crisis, the effects of violence on the young, the relation between faith and mental health, as well as the development of mental health treatments in the future.
