With Peter Crinis by his side, the group’s portfolio includes 15 venues with The Strand in Sydney’s Darlinghurst at the forefront.

Speaking with The Daily Telegraph, Crinis said: “Growing up, I used to stay in pubs in the country. But for years publicans stopped using levels two and three and just focused on the hospitality.”

“But there is something about staying at a pub which provides you with an instant community.”

The 99-year-old pub opened up its new accommodation last weekend alongside The Strand Bistro. In between the rooftop and the bistro, The Strand features a 17-room boutique hotel, with a library and common work and kitchen spaces.

Adgemis’ Public Hospitality Group is also set to restore a series of other old-school Sydney pubs over the next year, including Alexandria’s Camelia Grove, The Kurrajong in Erskineville and Balmain’s Town Hall pub.
