Stefanos Tsitsipas outlasts Kolar to reach the French Open third round

Stefanos Tsitsipas has survived another day at the French Open after defeating Czech player, Zdenek Kolar, 6-3, 7-6(10-8), 6-7(3-7), 7-6(9-7) on Thursday.

It was a hard fought match for Tsitsipas who came back from 2-6 down in the 4th set tiebreaker to seal the match win.

The epic match lasted four hours and six minutes.

After the match, Tsitsipas praised his opponent and said “he was putting every part of his body behind the ball and I’d like to congratulate him on such an incredible effort.”

Tsitsipas will now face the Swede, Mikael Ymer, in the third round of the French Open.
