CEO and Commissioner of the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC), Angelo Lambrinos, has come in at number 35 on The Courier-Mail‘s Queensland Property Power List.
The annual list recognises the individuals shaping Queensland’s property landscape through leadership, investment, policy and regulatory influence.
As head of Queensland’s building regulator, Lambrinos is responsible for licensing, compliance oversight, and enforcing the state’s security of payment laws across the construction sector.
His decisions shape risk exposure for builders and developers, influencing insolvency pressures, project delivery and pricing in both residential and commercial markets.
With the authority to suspend licences and effectively stop projects, he wields significant influence in an industry frequently challenged by financial instability and contractor failure.
Angelo’s inclusion on the QLD Property Power List highlights the growing importance of regulatory leadership in a sector facing ongoing economic and operational challenges, as well as the significant role the QBCC plays in safeguarding the state’s construction industry.
