Memorial service to be held in Sydney to honour the life of Chris Felemegas

·

The Sydney Greek community will gather on Sunday, October 12, to honour the life of Chris Felemegas, who recently passed away and is remembered for his warmth, kindness, and deep love for family, friends, and Greek music.

“Chris wasn’t just a friend — he was family to us. One of the most genuine, caring, and selfless people you could ever meet… His laughter could light up any room, and his kindness touched more lives than he probably ever realised,” the memorial announcement read.

Although Chris’ final resting place will be in Greece, a memorial service will be held at Saint Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church, Rookwood Cemetery, from 8am to 11am, giving friends and loved ones the chance to pay their respects.

Following the service, a celebration of Chris’ life will take place at Bexley Golf Club (203 Stoney Creek Rd, Kingsgrove) from 12pm, with a bistro available for food and drinks.

In true reflection of his love for music, musicians are encouraged to bring their instruments and play in his honour, keeping alive the joy and passion he shared with all.

“Thank you for helping us keep his memory alive and celebrating the incredible person he was,” the announcement concluded.
