Woman who allegedly hit chauffeur George Plassaras slapped with two new charges

Lanlan Yang, 23, has been hit with two new charges after allegedly crashing her $1.5 million Tiffany blue Rolls-Royce Cullinan head-on into a van driven by George Plassaras, the chauffeur of radio host Kyle Sandilands.

Yang, who previously faced charges of causing bodily harm by misconduct and refusing a breath test, is now also accused of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and failing to provide particulars to police.

Police allege she returned a positive roadside breath test before the collision in Rose Bay on July 27. Plassaras was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a stable condition.

If convicted, Yang faces a maximum of seven years in prison.

The case, which has attracted significant public and social media attention, saw Yang appear via video link for her latest court date after being granted bail.
